Google Chrome Extension for PrimeFaces showcase

I've created a Google Chrome Extension with quick links to the components in the last PrimeFaces Showcase. Links are sorted alphabetically. Everybody who likes an alphabetic order of PrimeFaces components can download the file pfchromeextension.crx from here. Simple drag and drop this file into the browser window and confirm the installation. You will see a small clickable "PrimeFaces icon" on the top right corner. I've also corrected some link names in comparison to original ones. Enjoy!

I was also thinking about two links for each component - one for showcase and one for the corresponding page in the User's Guide (PDF). For instance, Accordion (demo | pdf). As far as I know, Google Chrome has a built-in PDF reader and can open PDF on every page you specify in URL. What do you think?

  1. It seems useful for learners, thanks but when im dragging & dropping it onto the browser, it says "Extensions, apps and user scripts can only be added from the Chrome Web Store." and doesn't let it get installed.

  2. This is strange. I just tried to install it in Chrome on my other Linux PC and it works. Even better if you're already in Chrome - a simple click on the download link above is enough to install the extension then.

  3. Clicking on the link also causes the same warning. My Chrome Version is 21.0.1, might this be the problem ?

  4. I don't think this is the problem, tried on different PCs. But not sure, I have 18.x version on Linux and 21.x on Windows. I can put a not compressed version later. You can compress it self in Chrome Settings --> Extensions.

  5. It is a nice thought Oleg! But it is showing the message "apps, extensions and user scripts cannot be added from this website".So it is not allowing for the installation. My Chrome version is 23.x.It seems like Chrome latest versions asking to add them from extensions page(Which are not from chrome web store).

Also, the demo and user guide PDF links for each component will be very good idea:)

  6. Maybe. I just tried new stuff and played around with Chrome Extensions. This was my first and last play with Chrome Extensions :-)
